About the Artist

Sara Kong

Artist based in Hong Kong.

Specialised in Seascape Resin Art and Painting.

Art is my kind of therapy.

I have always loved Art and Creation.
Since I was a toddler, I have started painting and creating crafts with different mediums. I have left art behind for a couples of years during my University life.
In the meantime, I have lived in Brighton, UK for half year and travelled around a lot of foreign coastal cities.
Since then I have experienced how the sea brings calm and tranquility to me.
I feel peace and inspired when I am around the ocean.

During the years of lockdown, I have discovered Resin Art and the way it can paint a vivid ocean scene. I am obsessed with the colours and the unpredictable outcome Resin is capable of.
Creating is the way I feel my soul and express my emotions.

I believe beautiful art is eye candy yet the process of creation is how I heal my soul and lift my spirit.
I hope to spread art and creation through my artwork and bring joyfulness to people while we paint together!

About " Navy Jones "

Ocean is my inspiration and theme of creation.
The brand name ‘Navy Jones’ was inspired by the idiom ‘Davy Jones Locker’, which is a metaphor for the bottom of the sea. ‘Navy’ is easily related to the feeling of blue colours. Ocean brings us tranquility and clams our souls, it is truly a gift from the nature. I am so glad I could capture its beauty on a canvas with my own hands.

My Vision

fill your life with art and experiences.

Crafts are not necessarily has to be something ‘useful’ to create it.
I believe art is more about the process and experience.  The joy we get by creating is always better than the thing itself.
‘My life amounts to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean, but a multitude of drops?’
Wishing to make some changes with what I love to do.
